An exercise I did for college where we had to design characters from Irish mythology and then have them in a drawing all together.

I wanted everyone's outfits to look like it was something these people would have worn 1/2,000 years ago, with the material looking right, at the pattern fit being period accurate.
I started with the goddesses Eir agus Brigid, whose designs both came quite quickly.
It was the goddess Neman who gave me the most problems. I struggled to find the right colours, body shape and expression for her.
This was a design I really enjoyed however something about it hadn't sat right with me (whether it was the pose, the colours or the clothes I didn't know), so I kept designing.
This was the design I ended up with and went on to the finished drawing.
In the end I really enjoyed this exercise and was very happy with the final result. It was cool to see these characters develop and come together in the end.
